BigXThaPlug achieves another career milestone.

The Texas-born rapper and singer has signed a global publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing, highlighting his fast-rising influence across hip-hop and beyond.

Born Xavier Landum, BigXThaPlug has built momentum through storytelling rooted in Southern realism and emotional precision. His music reflects lived experience, regional pride, and ambition without polish or pretense.

The Dallas native first broke through with Amar in 2023. The album introduced his raw cadence and grounded perspective. He followed quickly with Take Care in 2024, sharpening his sound and widening his audience.

Commercial success arrived just as fast. Texas and Levels both earned double-platinum certifications. Mmhmm reached triple-platinum status. The Largest followed with platinum recognition.

That foundation set the stage for his crossover moment. I Hope You’re Happy, released in August, pushed BigXThaPlug into new cultural territory while keeping his identity intact.

The album peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums and Top Country Albums charts. It also climbed to No. 7 on the Billboard 200.

Guest appearances amplified its reach. Collaborators included Luke Combs, Ella Langley, Thomas Rhett, Jelly Roll, and Shaboozey. Each pairing expanded his footprint without diluting his voice.

The project’s defining single, All The Way with Bailey Zimmerman, delivered a historic chart moment. The track reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.

It also became the first song to lead both Hot Rap Songs and Hot Country Songs simultaneously. The achievement cemented BigXThaPlug’s genre-bridging appeal.

In late November, he surprised fans again. He released Cold with Post Malone as part of the album’s deluxe edition. The collaboration sparked immediate online buzz.

Speaking on the publishing deal, BigXThaPlug said Sony Music Publishing understands his vision. He emphasized shared belief and long-term growth.

Onstage, his presence continues to grow. He is preparing for the Take Care Tour across the United States and Canada.

His live résumé already includes Rolling Loud and Dreamville Fest. International festival appearances span Wireless, Openair, Slottsfjell, and Lollapalooza Berlin.

Industry recognition has followed closely. Billboard named him Country Power Players Innovator. Variety honored him as Hip-Hop Disruptor of the Year.

Drake brought out BigXThaPlug for his headlining set at London’s Wireless Festival. Additional honors include Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Hip-Hop Artist and a BMI award for Mmhmm.

With a global publishing deal now in place, BigXThaPlug’s rise feels deliberate, grounded, and far from finished.
