Cardi B has never been one to separate her personal life from her public one. On Tuesday, the Grammy-winning rapper announced she is expecting her fourth child — her first with her boyfriend, Stefon Diggs, wide receiver for the New England Patriots.
“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend Stefon Diggs,” she told Gayle King during an appearance on CBS Mornings. She added that her due date is scheduled just before the launch of her Little Miss Drama tour in February. “I’ve been putting in all this work, but I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby.”
The Bronx-born artist, 32, is preparing for the September 19 release of her new album, Am I the Drama?. She said she feels steady, despite the pressures of managing a career, motherhood, and public scrutiny.
“I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space,” she said. “Me and my man are very supportive of each other. We’re in the same space in our careers. I feel like we’re really great, we’re really the best at what we do.”

Cardi acknowledged she had not shared the news with her parents before the interview. “I felt like, can I just say it on my own time? I’m not hiding,” she said.
She credited Mr. Diggs with giving her confidence as her profile continues to draw attention. “He just makes me feel safe and very confident,” she said. “And it makes you feel like you could take over the world.”
Their relationship became public in May, when they were seen together at a New York Knicks game. It followed her split from the rapper Offset, with whom she shares three children: Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 1. She filed for divorce in July 2024, the same month Blossom was born.
Mr. Diggs has since been a frequent presence, often appearing in her social media posts. In August, she showed off a $73,000 Patek Philippe watch he gave her, joking that she initially thought he had bought it for himself.
Cardi has long described motherhood as her anchor. “I’m never far from my kids because that’s my responsibility as a mother,” she told Vogue Singapore in 2022.
