Cardi B continues to dominate headlines in 2024, leaving little room for subtlety.

On Friday, December 6, the Grammy-winning rapper addressed a financial dispute with producer SwiftOnDemand, known for contributing to her early Love & Hip Hop era tracks. The conflict, aired through social media, quickly became another chapter in Cardi’s unfiltered narrative.

Speaking on Twitter Spaces, Cardi defended her financial priorities, highlighting her role as a mother of three. “I have a lot of expenses. I got three f**king kids I take care of—not one, not two, but three,” she remarked. She also resisted Swift’s criticism that she supported people unrelated to her success.

“You mean the people that birthed me? That made me? Like my parents?” she retorted, making it clear that family comes first.

The dispute stems from Swift’s claims that Cardi’s former manager, Klenord “Shaft” Raphael, stole $2 million from him. Swift accused Cardi of reneging on promises to collaborate, sparking a heated response. Cardi fired back with characteristic bluntness, stating she had no intention of revisiting their professional relationship.

“You’re crying about a fking mixtape that’s making crumbs,” she said, referencing Swift’s contributions to her *Gangsta Bch Music* projects, including tracks like “Foreva” and “Pull Up.”

In an effort to silence the back-and-forth, Cardi didn’t hold back her critique of Swift’s work.

“Yes, I told you I was going to work with you again. Guess what? I haven’t because I don’t like your f**king beats. I don’t like them. I don’t like your music,” she declared. “You keep chasing something that is not going to happen. And now, I’m never going to work with you again.”

The controversy flared days after Cardi revealed the staggering scale of her finances. On Tuesday, December 3, she disclosed spending $3 million a month while addressing online critics who claimed she was “surviving off brand deals.” She also mentioned having $65 million in tour offers on the table, solidifying her status as a powerhouse in the industry.

While Swift’s Instagram posts have added fuel to the dispute, Cardi remains unapologetic, maintaining control over her narrative with her trademark candor. Whether navigating financial disputes or setting the record straight on her career choices, Cardi continues to prove that she’s not one to shy away from confrontation.
