Yesterday (June 26), the Hollywood Walk of Fame revealed its “Class of 2024,” announcing that Chadwick Boseman is among the honorees in the motion pictures category and will be honored with a posthumous star.

“The Selection Committee, which is made up of fellow Walk of Famers, carefully hand-picks a group of honorees each year that represent various genres of the entertainment world. The Committee did an amazing job choosing these very talented people. We can’t wait to see each honoree’s reaction as they realize that they are becoming a part of Hollywood’s history with the unveiling of their star on the world’s most famous walkway!” Radio personality and chair of the Walk of Fame Selection Panel Ellen K said in a statement posted to the organization’s official website.

Other stars to be given a star alongside Boseman are Mario Lopez, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Kerry Washington, Toni Braxton, Brandy Norwood, Gwen Stefani, Andre “Dr. Dre” Young, and more. As previously reported by HOT 97, the Black Panther actor died in 2020 after fighting a private battle with colon cancer. He was 43 years old.
