Coi Leray is speaking from a place of growth as she looks back on one of the hardest chapters of her life. In a new conversation on The Justin LaBoy Show, the rapper admitted she regrets going public earlier this year with accusations that Trippie Redd cheated while she was pregnant. “I honestly wish I didn’t go public with it,” she said, explaining that the decision “created so much more problems… especially with the father of my child.” She added that being pregnant left her feeling vulnerable, but her family and friends gave her the strength to keep moving forward.

Her music has carried pieces of that pain. On the February project What Happened to Forever?, Coi laid out her feelings in detail, saying it “literally explained the whole entire situation.” On the standout track “Keep It,” she vented: “All the times I caught you cheatin’, I should’ve killed you, but now you gon’ have to see this, supposed to be my peace, but broke me right into pieces.” Another song, “Leave You Alone,” went even further, with the rapper confessing she once hid a camera to confirm suspicions: “I had family plans, your plans was cheatin’/Camera in the room, you didn’t know I was creepin.’”

Though her relationship with Trippie has ended, her focus is firmly on their daughter, Miyoco, who was born in July. “We’re co-parents,” she said, clarifying that while they no longer have a friendship, all communication is about raising their child. “At the end of the day, regardless of what me and him went through, I just want us to be the best coparents that we can be.” Coi also made it clear she does not want her daughter to experience the kind of strained bond she once had with her own father, Benzino.

Now single, Coi says she is “entertaining somebody” but stressed that she values peace and a strong mindset over fame or money. Motherhood, she noted, has given her sharper clarity and made her more confident in herself and her artistry.
