Just before the trial was set to begin, it was revealed Tuesday (June 6) that Cuba Gooding Jr. has settled a lawsuit from a woman who accused him of rape at a New York City hotel a decade ago, according to court records.
According to the Associated Press, the trail was suppose to start with jury selection in New York federal court as the Oscar-winning actor faced allegations that he met the woman in Manhattan, convinced her to join him at a hotel and stop in his room so he could change clothes. However, court documents state that “both parties have resolved the matter.” The lawsuit sought $6 million in damages.
