Dame Dash is sharing his thoughts on JAY-Z again.
Making an appearance on Art of Dialogue, Dash accused his former Roc-A-Fella partner. He first claimed that he isn’t concerned with JAY-Z unless it affects his bottom line.
“Unless he’s messing my money up, I don’t give a f**k what Jay’s doing,” Dash said. “But when he’s [messing] with my money, that’s when I be like, ‘You know what? Enough is enough.”
Dash then went on to accuse JAY-Z of ruining a potential clothing deal with Tommy Hilfiger in 2005.
“Right before Tommy Hilfiger signs the papers, J makes an announcement saying he’s not with Rocawear, that he’s only [messing] with S. Carter,” the executive explained. “F**ked the whole deal up and I just feel like he did that only because I was gonna make $40 million.”
Although Dash pocketed $22.5 million when Rockaware was sold, JAY-Z sold the clothing brand to Iconix Brand Group in 2007 for $204 million. According to Dash, this was all a part of JAY-Z’s plot.
“Every time I could have made a really big check, he’s always stepped in and intentionally f**ked it up,” Dash explained. “Every time.”
Dash then compared Hov’s alleged moves to that of The Penguin, one of the most infamous villains in the DC universe and prime foe of Batman.
“If you could compare him to a character now, I’d say he’s like the Penguin,” Dash said.“He’s ruthless like that.”
“They make it sound like I just volunteered to start talking about JAY-Z. But people are really asking me questions about him,” he claimed. “If everybody doesn’t want to hear me talk about JAY, why the f**k do people keep asking me questions about him?”
As HOT97 previously reported, Dash alleges that JAY-Z’s recent legal troubles were brought on because of his willingness to work with R. Kelly. When she was a teenager, Kelly married Aaliyah. At the time of Aaliyah’s death, she and Dash were a couple.
“The fact that Jay was messing with him just blew my mind,” Dash said. “I never understood why he wanted to work with that guy so badly.”
“Everybody knew R. Kelly married Aaliyah when she was 15. It wasn’t a secret. So yeah, we had that conversation,” Dash recalled. “I asked him straight up, ‘How are you gonna do a project with a guy who raped my girl?’ That alone was enough for me. It was the final straw.”
