DDG is addressing speculation surrounding his bond with India Love, making it clear there’s no romance between them. Caught outside LAX by TMZ Hip Hop, the rapper and content creator responded to buzz around a flashy heart-shaped chain he gave India during a livestream. According to him, it was nothing more than a thoughtful gesture. “It’s just me returning the favor,” he said, noting that she’s done kind things for him in the past.
As for where he stands personally, DDG says dating isn’t on his radar right now. “I’m chilling,” he told reporters. “Focused on the work.”
India Love also chimed in on their connection, describing DDG as someone solid in her corner. “He’s a great person, he’s a great guy,” she said. “I don’t know what God has for my life but I know he’s a great guy. You gotta pour into people who pour into you, and he’s definitely someone who’s right in my corner and I’m also always gonna be right in his corner. So yeah, shoutout to DDG.”
Meanwhile, DDG weighed in on a viral yacht clip featuring BenDaDon looking stunned when a woman claimed she had just $130 to her name. DDG shrugged it off, saying men are used to dropping money at clubs or on tables for the chance to attract women—it’s just how things go.
At Wireless Fest earlier this month, DDG found himself the target of a joke when Drake asked the crowd if anyone had a “fucked up ex.” Though he stayed quiet in VIP, his cameraman tried to film his reaction—only for DDG to snap, “Better not put that god damn camera on me, bitch. I ain’t going back on no blogs.”
His breakup with Halle Bailey, the mother of his son Halo, remains a sensitive topic following serious allegations and a custody ruling this past spring.
