TMZ reports on Tuesday (Jan. 7) that Sean “Diddy” Combs’ staff is frustrated with the mogul, who is currently serving time over transportation charges, claiming they haven’t been paid for their employment.

Still, behind the scenes, financial strain has begun to surface. Several people tied to his business empire claim payments have slowed or stopped.

The situation has sparked frustration among staff and legal teams awaiting compensation. Despite the noise, Combs’ camp says everything remains in order.

Sources with direct knowledge say Combs’ finances are currently overseen by Tri Star Sports & Entertainment. The firm stepped in during his incarceration.

Since then, financial oversight has reportedly tightened. Some employees describe the controls as restrictive. They claim delays have disrupted daily operations and morale.

Multiple attorneys connected to Combs’ growing slate of civil lawsuits reportedly remain unpaid. Other staff members have also claimed missed checks.

At least one individual has exited their role, citing uncertainty around payment timing. Collectively, these accounts suggest internal pressure during an already volatile period.

Combs’ spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, strongly disputes those claims. He maintains that all employees and attorneys are paid.

He also rejects reports of staff departures. According to Engelmayer, no one has been denied compensation.

Addressing concerns about timing, Engelmayer emphasized that Combs still controls his finances. He said payments are issued once work is completed and confirmed.

Each transaction undergoes a standard review. That process, he explained, may appear slow from the outside.

Sources also say Combs’ family does not have unlimited access to his funds. They must coordinate spending through Tri Star. The family reportedly works within a fixed budget.

Specific amounts and schedules remain unclear. Any expense outside that framework requires invoice approval.

That system has reportedly caused friction. One incident involved a family dinner in New York City. The gathering took place the night before Combs’ sentencing. When the family contacted Tri Star for payment, they were instructed to submit an invoice.

The request was initially declined. Eventually, the cost was reimbursed to the person who paid.

The episode highlighted how closely spending decisions are monitored. It also revealed the limited financial flexibility of those closest to Combs.

Combs is serving a 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. The low-security facility houses him following convictions tied to two Mann Act violations. Despite incarceration, he remains in contact with family.

His son Justin visited him on Christmas Day. The visit offered a brief glimpse into family connection during a turbulent chapter.

As legal challenges continue, financial management has emerged as another fault line. For now, Combs’ team projects control.
