Drake is all smiles following the infamous battle against Kendrick Lamar, according to his friend.

Drake’s friend and collaborator Gordo is set to drop his new album Diamante on Friday (July 26), and Drake will appear on it. While discussing the upcoming project with PEOPLE, Gordo also briefly dived into Drake’s beef with Lamar.

“He’s been past it,” Gordo said. “The thing is that he was just on the longest tour ever. He literally did a tour for like a year. I think he’s just chilling.”

He continued: “Ever since all this has happened… I’ve seen him happier,” the producer shared. “It’s really weird. He’s pretty jolly… The internet makes it seem like, ‘Oh, that photo, he’s all sad and sh*t.’”

“That’s just a bad photo from a bad camera. But because it’s him, it’s put under a magnifying glass like, ‘Oh, look at his eyes. He’s looking a little droopy. He hasn’t slept.’ But the guy’s been happy as shit, to be honest. He’s chilling.”

Neither Drake nor Kendrick Lamar has publicly addressed their diss records towards each other.

Although the diss records have stopped- fans are still not over the beef. Even so much so that Lamar’s “Not Like Us” has been turned into a video game. The game was developed by Richie Branson and allows players take control of Lamar while swinging a bat at an owl.

The goal aim is to top the leaderboard with a score of 69- seemingly referring to Lamar’s “Freaky-a*s n*gga, he a 69 God..” lyrics.

“This game is a free love letter to video games and hip-hop,” Branson writes in a statement. “If you want to support, show love to me cashapp or venmo $RICHIEBRANSON.”
