Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR have unveiled their long-awaited joint album, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, released on February 14, 2025. The 21-track project deepens their creative synergy, blending Drake’s introspective lyricism with PARTYNEXTDOOR’s signature melodies.

One of the album’s most talked-about tracks, “Gimme a Hug,” sees Drake confronting past conflicts and industry tensions. He dismisses detractors who anticipate his downfall, rapping, “Funny how it’s only broke [expletive] waiting on the boy’s obituary.”

He also takes a direct shot at Joe Budden, referencing the rapper’s past relationship with Melyssa Ford: “Melyssa Ford, you a legend from The 6, hate to see you with a [expletive] sucker.” The verse underscores Drake’s resolve to rise above drama while maintaining his dominance in rap.

The album’s release follows months of anticipation, fueled by a teaser during PARTYNEXTDOOR’s Sorry I’m Outside tour stop in Toronto last August. Both artists had hinted at the collaboration, with Party calling one of their tracks a personal favorite. Days before the drop, they revealed the cover art, photographed in front of Mississauga’s Absolute World twin towers.

$ome $exy $ongs 4 U is Drake’s first full-length release since his 2024 lyrical exchanges with Kendrick Lamar. PARTYNEXTDOOR last released PartyNextDoor 4 in April 2024. Fans can now stream the album across all major platforms.
