Things You Didn't Know About 'On Da Reggae And Soca Tip' Artist Nailah Blackman

Nailah Blackman is one of the most popular artists in the world of Soca music. The Trinidadian born singer has blessed fans with hits like, ‘Baddish’ featuring fellow On Da Reggae And Soca Tip artist Shenseea, ‘Workout’ featuring Kes and ‘Balia Mami’. 

Blackman, first burst onto the music scene at the age of 19 and has been on a high climb ever since. You can say that the music is in her blood. Did you know that the Blackman name is one of the most well-known names within the soca world. 

Nailah is the daughter of singer Abbi Blackman, the niece of Marge and Issac Blackman and the granddaughter of the late great Lord Shorty also known as Ras Shorty I. It has been said that Blackman’s grandfather was also the inventor of Sokah (soca) music. Talk about long lineage!
