On March 29, the Jumpman collaborators made waves in the rap scene with the release of their newest joint album, We Don’t Trust You. Notably the Kendrick Lamar-backed diss track “Like That,” aimed at both Drake and J. Cole, reignited discussions about Hip Hop’s “big three.”

On the track, K. Dot delivers the iconic line: “Think I won’t drop the location? I still got PTSD/ Muthafuck the big three, n-gga, it’s just big me/ N-gga, bum, what? I’m really like that”

The conversation initially gained momentum when J. Cole referenced himself alongside Kendrick Lamar and Drake in “First Person Shooter” last year, drawing parallels to Muhammad Ali.

Conversely, Drake subtly suggested his and Cole’s dominance, hinting they alone hold the title of “greatest of all time.” Although Drake hasn’t directly responded to Kendrick, the OVO boss has made several remarks seemingly addressing the verse.

During its first week, We Don’t Trust You accumulated 251,000 album units, marking the biggest sales week of 2024. The achievement stands as the second-largest for Future, trailing behind What a Time To Be Alive with Drake (2015). The album’s triumph is primarily thanks to streaming, with its 17 tracks amassing an impressive 324.31 million streams.
