A Georgia Police Officer has been fired after a video goes viral of him tasing a young black woman, Kyndesia Smith on her family’s property.
The Gwinnett County Police Department fired Michael Oxford after an investigation ruled that he violated the department’s policy and core values.
It was reported that on Tuesday, August 18th, Oxford responded to a call about property damage. The woman on the phone stated that two people threw a bottle at her car and that a group of people threatened to assault her and her 9-year-old child. The caller then told police where she believed one of the assailants lived.
When they arrived at the house, Oxford recognized one of the girls from the surveillance video. Things quickly escalated when Oxford tried to speak to Smith. Watch the video below.
