Gunna is quietly preparing a new documentary, though little is known about the project. Reports from Kurrco revealed that an early screening already took place in New York City. A few photos from the night surfaced online, and Gunna later posted them to his Instagram Story. Beyond that, no specifics have been confirmed about the subject matter or release timeline.

This isn’t the rapper’s first time experimenting with film. In 2020, he created a two-part documentary for his WUNNA album that was released on YouTube. Because of that history, fans have begun speculating whether this upcoming piece could spotlight The Last Wun, which many believe is his closing chapter with YSL. Others think it might confront his complicated history with Young Thug, especially since the relationship has been a source of tension in recent years.

The Atlanta star’s reputation has taken several turns over the past decade. Since breaking out in the mid-2010s, Gunna has become one of the most recognizable rappers in the world. His path shifted in 2022 when he was among those arrested in the sweeping YSL RICO case. He later entered an Alford plea, a decision that critics seized upon. The deal ignited claims that he had cooperated with authorities, a label that still lingers despite his public denials.

Young Thug, in particular, has not held back. Leaked phone calls from jail and his interview with Big Bank on Perspektives With Bank highlighted just how betrayed he felt. Thug admitted that he even considered sabotaging Gunna’s career. As he put it, “Even if I don’t want to hear it, you still supposed to be a real n**** and say it. How can you just do what you did to me and then just go live your life? Like ain’t nothing happened?”

For Gunna, the documentary may serve as his most direct opportunity yet to reclaim the narrative.
