The Oscar-winning actress confirmed that she is engaged to longtime partner Van Hunt, putting an end to months of speculation surrounding their relationship status.
Berry shared the news during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she proudly confirmed that she did, in fact, say yes to Hunt’s proposal.
Rumors about the couple’s engagement had circulated online after Berry previously suggested she hadn’t accepted a proposal yet. However, she clarified that while the proposal did happen, the couple was in no rush to walk down the aisle and wanted to move at their own pace.
The engagement rumors began circulating last June, when the couple were guests on the Today Show. He said, “So I put out the proposal, and it’s still on hold as you can see. It’s just out there floating. You know, maybe you can encourage her.”
Berry and Hunt have been together since 2020, having met during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the years, the pair have frequently shared affectionate moments on social media, often praising one another publicly and giving fans glimpses into their close bond.
