Here’s Why Nas Wants To Bring A Casino To Queens

Nas‘ business portfolio could be expanding very soon. Recently, the rapper revealed that he has plans to partner with Resort World, a hospitality and casino franchise, hoping to bring a casino to Queens.

Earlier this week, Nas was front and center to help unveil the nearly $5 billion project. However, there is one caveat: the company must obtain a license from the state of New York before breaking ground on the project.

If approved, the casino — which is almost 370,000 square feet — would be one of the largest in the world. According to the God’s Son rapper, this could increase residents’ employment opportunities and attract “top-tier talent.”

“This is an ambitious project that will give new opportunities to the hard-working families who call Queens home, attract top-tier talent, and build up the next generation of leaders,” Nas said in a statement. “Clearly, with this project, the world is ours.”

Over the years, the rapper has become quite the entrepreneur, garnering deals with streaming giants like Amazon, owning a venture capital firm, co-owning a cigar brand, and more.
