Looks like Tekashi 6ix9ine isn't backing down from the music industry after being labeled as a "snitch" in the streets.
Since the start of his trial, 6ix9ine has been making headlines for his bold claims during his testimony, like mentioning Jim Jones and Cardi B.'s name. It appears as if he's done damage to his brand by name dropping people he allegedly committed crimes with and people that weren't even involved in the case.
Some would consider his career effectively over but not the Brooklyn rapper. Tekashi is confident in his ability to rebound from what many consider to be one of the biggest Hip-Hop scandals of the decade. It seems as though he is not the only one that believes his career will skyrocket after his release from prison. Sources close to the New York rapper claim that his old record label, 10k, cut a $10 million record deal with Tekashi, under which he is expected to release two full-length albums.
While he still has yet to receive sentencing, 69 is no longer facing 47-year minimum. After cooperating, and playing a large role in the conviction of Nine Trey Blood members Anthony “Harv” Ellison, and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack, Tekashi is expected to be released sometime in 2020.
Despite finding himself at the center of legal adversity, it seems as though 69 has created a second opportunity for himself. And it’s only a matter of time before we find out whether he can still be the center of mainstream hip hop.
