Lil Nas X has broken the Billboard Hot 100 record with his hit single “Old Town Road”. The single has held the number 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts for 17 consecutive weeks.

Before Monday, ‘Old Town Road’, was tied with Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber’s 2017 hit ‘Despacito’ and Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s 1995 single ‘One Sweet Day’. Both songs held the number one slot during their respective years for 16 weeks.
