This is becoming a circus.

Iyanla Vanzant is promoting a brand new season of OWN's Iyanla: Fix My Life, and during her conversation with ABC News Radio, she revealed that R. Kelly asked to be a part of the show. A request she had to deny because she felt he wasn't ready.

“Are they willing? Are they ready? Do they have the capacity to do the work?” she said. “He didn’t have the emotional capacity. Just didn’t have it. And I knew, based on what I was looking at—the paces that I would have to take him through—it would have been brutal.”

Wow. She later continued.

“But what I do know is that, without some long term intervention, he doesn’t have the capacity,” she said. “Just wouldn’t be able to hear it, receive it. Classic thing is that he’s not telling the truth about it, he’s still saying he didn’t do this.”

The first step to solving a problem is admitting it right?

It turns out that he's not the only performer to ask to appear on the show. In 2013, DMX got into a viral altercation with Vanzant in what has become one of her most seen episodes.

The episode resulted in the rapper telling her to "shut the f*** up" as she intervined in the conversation between him and his son Xavier after reuniting the two together. He then threatened to sure over the episode.

According to Page Six, she revealed that he did contact her to do the show once again.

“Earl [Simmons]— that’s what I call him — wrote us again,” Vanzant said. “The last thing I said to [him] was, ‘You will never have the opportunity to speak to me again.’ But that was before I realized that I failed him.”

Maybe that means he will return on the show in the future.

DMX is set to be released from prison on January 27, after serving time for tax evasion.
