In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Mary J. Blige hinted that her legendary and lengthy music career could end soon.”This is another album, and it’s probably my last studio album,” she told the reporter.

However, the singer quickly walked back her comments and joked that while she did plan to slow down, she’ll never completely stop making music. That said, full-length projects won’t be happening anytime soon.”Nah, I’ve been doing it for a while. I love it, I enjoy it, and it might be the last studio album. It might be.”

Often referred to as the Queen of R&B and Hip Hop, Blige burst on the scene in 1992 with her debut album, What’s the 411? She’s been nominated nearly 38 times for the Grammy Awards and has won eight of them.

Blige also discussed her upcoming third-annual Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit, which will take place in Blige’s hometown of New York City and kick off on May 10.
