Jadakiss shares his thoughts on this Jim Jones and Pusha T situation.

During an interview on the BET Awards red carpet, the LOX rapper chopped it up with Bootleg Kev. Jadakiss said he “doesn’t like the battles,” but wants the feuding rappers to “keep it rap.”

“I’m not really vying for what’s going on with that. If it was supposed to happen, that’s cool, but I don’t like…It’s cool but it ain’t cool for me. I don’t like the matchup,” Jada said.

He continued: “They both legends. It’s always dope when there’s no extra additives…if it stays like that and if there’s no lines crossed outside of rap, I’ll love it. Just keep it rap.”

Last week during Pharrell’s debut LV men’s line in Paris, Pusha T debuted a new Clipse song, taking shots at Jim. Jim fired back with an online post, then over the weekend, dropped “Summer Collection,” a From The Block performance freestyle, responding to Push. The Dipset rapper says:

“Trying to bring the Clipse back, Talking ‘bout your brother, what happened to that boy? It looking like they be selling crack to that boy.”

The friction ignited last year when Billboard released their top 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time list. Pusha T ranked No. 29, and Jim questioned why the Clipse rapper was on the list. At the time, on the RapCaviar podcast, Jim said:

“nobody has dressed like him. Nobody wants to be like Pusha T. I don’t remember nothing. And let’s not be evil, but we don’t talk about rap where the n***a that’s popping the b*tches wanna f*ck and the n****s wanna be like,” he continued.

“I don’t know too many n****s in this game that was leaning towards being like Pusha T. Pusha T don’t hold no weight out here. He not pushing no sh*t out here.” He continued:

“What has he done that puts him in the greatest rappers of all time besides talk about coke that he probably didn’t get himself? He’s nice as sh*t. He could rap his a*s off, but what has he done?”
