Influencer and entrepreneur Jayda Cheaves and rapper Dess Dior were involved in a chaotic physical altercation at an Atlanta-area nightclub over the weekend, according to video footage surfaced on social media.
The incident occurred following a performance by R&B singer Mariah the Scientist, where both women had been seen socializing peacefully earlier in the evening. Video clips shared by various social media accounts show a scene of intense confusion as security personnel and clubgoers attempted to intervene. In the footage, Cheaves appears to be forcibly pushed onto a sofa by a man identified by onlookers as a member of the venue’s security team.
Simultaneously, Dior is seen engaging in a separate scuffle nearby while bystanders tried to restrain the parties involved. The cause of the brawl remains unknown, and it is currently unclear if the two women were fighting against each other or if they were unified against a third party. Prior to the incident, Cheaves and Dior had shared photos on Instagram alongside Mariah the Scientist, suggesting a friendly atmosphere before the night took a violent turn. “They were just enjoying the music and vibes one minute, and the next it was total chaos,” said one witness who posted a snippet of the brawl to X, formerly Twitter.
The edited 50-second clip shows several people tussling in the crowded venue while other patrons continued their night around the perimeter of the fight. Cheaves and Dior share a complicated history within the Atlanta music scene, as both women have been linked to rapper Lil Baby. Cheaves and the “Drip Too Hard” artist share a son, Loyal Armani, born in 2019, while Dior has been the subject of dating rumors involving the rapper in the past. Despite these connections, Cheaves and Dior have historically been considered close friends. Neither Cheaves nor Dior has issued a formal statement regarding the altercation.
Despite the physical nature of the brawl seen in the footage, neither woman appeared to have sustained serious injuries in subsequent posts to their respective social media stories later that evening.
