Kanye West is facing a new lawsuit with serious allegations, including death threats, from a former employee who claims the rapper threatened to kill him. The plaintiff, a Michigan man who has remained anonymous due to safety concerns, filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles on Thursday, October 10th, accusing West of emotional distress, retaliation, and violations of California labor laws.

According to the lawsuit, the man says he was hired by Kanye in December 2022 for his now-defunct presidential campaign. Initially, he worked as Deputy Campaign Director before becoming the Director of Intelligence. In this role, he was tasked with investigating individuals close to Kanye, including his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s family, who Kanye suspected were involved in criminal activities, such as sex trafficking. The man also claims Kanye asked him to hire private investigators to track his current wife, Bianca Censori, during her visit to Australia without her knowledge.

Tensions between the man and Kanye reportedly escalated earlier this year when the man learned of alleged child abuse at Kanye’s Donda Academy. Around the same time, Kanye reportedly fired much of the Yeezy leadership team and started using nitrous oxide, which allegedly contributed to erratic behavior. After reporting the abuse claims to other Yeezy staff, the man says Kanye called, made death threats, and warned him not to speak about the allegations again. The plaintiff also alleges Kanye sent disturbing voice recordings, and his “enforcers” issued threats, leading the man to seek mental health treatment for PTSD.

The lawsuit also names Kanye’s Yeezy company and is seeking compensation for unpaid wages, legal fees, and damages. Kanye has not yet addressed these accusations. The man’s lawyer, Ron Zambrano, called the behavior illegal and dangerous, saying no employee should face such threats.
