Due to Kanye West’s Donda 2 exclusivity, the album won’t be eligible for the Billboard charts.

As reported on Billboard, Donda 2 won’t be eligible for the charts because Kanye released it on his stem player. It’s considered a “bundle” package since it can be used for more than just listening to music. Albums with merchandise don’t meet the requirements for eligibility.

However, it doesn’t mean the outlet isn’t keeping track of the numbers over the years. Kanye claims he made a total of $8.6 million with the stem player, according to Revolt.

“Since the Stem Player is a fairly new concept, however, people familiar with the matter from both Billboard and MRC say they plan to continue to monitor its evolution as it relates to chart eligibility,” explained Billboard.
