Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) is facing new legal pressure following claims from former employee Lauren Pisciotta, who alleges the rapper was involved in a swatting incident shortly after she filed a lawsuit against him. Ye’s team has dismissed the allegations as “absurd and outlandish,” pushing back against the amended legal complaint filed earlier this summer.

Pisciotta’s attorney, Arick Fudali, told the BBC his client is deeply shaken. “She is suffering and has been suffering since she began working for Mr. West,” he said. “It’s really sad – she’s gone through a lot.” According to Fudali, Pisciotta has been left in hiding, fearful for her safety as the legal case unfolds.

In the amended filing, Pisciotta details a troubling series of events that allegedly began in the days after she filed suit in June. She claims police arrived at her home on multiple occasions, responding to false and alarming reports — including one that accused her of murdering her mother. The complaint also alleges she received threatening phone calls urging her to drop the case entirely.

YE’s Camp Pushes Back

Ye’s legal team has denied all wrongdoing, calling the shifting claims unsubstantiated. In a statement to Complex, a spokesperson said, “Lauren Pisciotta’s amended complaint is the fourth version she has advanced. Each new revision contradicts the others and is more absurd than all previous claims combined. We cannot know if Ms. Pisciotta genuinely believes her fabrications, but this latest chapter of fantasy fiction discredits all past, present, and future testimony.”

Attorney Lisa Bloom, who also represents Pisciotta, countered that Ye’s own public remarks may end up hurting his defense. She cited a since-deleted social media post in which West wrote: “WHY DID I NEVER F*** LAUREN PISCIOTTA SHE SMELLED FUNNY AND HALF OF THE NBA CAN ATTEST TO THAT,” arguing that the statement could prove damaging in court.
