On Saturday (May 4), Katt Williams returned to the stage again for his latest Netflix stand-up special, Woke Folk. From politics and sex to the entertainment industry and beyond, Williams seemingly let loose in this hour-long, no-holds-barred comedic special. However, many fans weren’t too amused after the self-proclaimed “truth-teller” said a few off-color jokes.

In particular, a joke he made regarding the 2020 shooting incident between Tory Lanez and Megan The Stallion, rubbed many folks the wrong way. “If you in the streets, you gotta keep your head on a swivel,” he began. “They are not playing fair out there. If they catch you, they’ll make an example out of you. They don’t give a f*ck who you is.”

Williams continued: “You see what the f*ck they did to Tory Lanez? They took his freedom and his hairline in the same sentence…He was just standing there bald and guilty.” The comedian said he felt sorry for Lanez because “he ain’t even from this country.” He added,” He don’t know how we get down, ‘It was just a pinky toe,’ well that’s ten years for some pinky toes.”

The Toronto rapper wasn’t the only celebrity Williams discussed. He also addressed the controversy surrounding Lizzo, who had been accused of creating a toxic workplace and sexual harassment last year.

“It’s a line and if you cross it, that’s you muthaf*kin’ ass…They came after Lizzo and she is unproblematic. They don’t give a f*ck.” He continued: “It’s a line. You can be fat, you can be Black, [but] you can’t be no fat, Black, b*tch.”

Several other jokes also caught fans’ attention, especially one regarding enslaved women’s body parts. The comedian alleged that their “p*ssy helped end slavery.” Following the special, fans immediately hopped online to share their thoughts. “Katt Williams saying that our great great grandmas stopped slavery with they..vaginas? As if our ancestors wasn’t getting r*ped by slave masters?? It wasn’t a choice wtf?” one person posted.

Another user said they got so uncomfortable watching the special they had to turn it off. “I did not enjoy Katt Williams…stopped midway,” the person wrote.”
