Social media has rediscovered a cryptic message from Kendrick Lamar’s fiancé, Whitney Alford.
This of course comes after Drake made some claims about Alford during his ongoing feud with Kendrick Lamar.
On The Boy’s “The Heart Part 6” diss track toward Lamar, he addresses claims that Lamar’s business manager, Dave Free, has a baby with Alford. “And why isn’t Whitney denying all of the allegations? / Why is she following Dave Free and not Mr. Morale? / You haven’t seen the kids in six months, the distance is wild / Dave leaving heart emojis underneath pics of the child,” he raps.
On Instagram, Alford shared a message back in May 2022. In the post Alford describes the state of her emotional health at the time. She wrote: “I was stuck in a time and place that was no longer my reality and was no longer serving me. My babies forced me to take a long look at myself and journey back through the very things that made me.”
The post continues, “I’ve always carried the light with me. As a child no one was able to help me process. Many times silence was enforced because my emotions were a lot to handle. Hiding my pain has been a technique I’ve mastered my entire life. Mask it with a smile and everything is good. Silence has been my superpower, protecting me in the most vulnerable spaces.”
“Then I was referred to a great therapist” she reveals in the message.
She has yet to respond to Drake’s allegations, however.
