Social media remains undefeated.

Controversy over Khloe Kardashian‘s paternity continued after O.J. Simpson’s death, with social media users flooding her socials with condolences.

Some believe that the retired NFL star is her biological father, despite repeated denials from Simpson and Khloé’s mother, Kris Jenner. Khloé’s late father, Robert Kardashian, was O.J. Simpson’s attorney during his infamous murder trial. The 76-year-old Simpson succumbed to prostate cancer on Wednesday (Apri 10), two months after announcing the diagnosis.

The jokes were plentiful and varied. “Has anyone checked on Khloé Kardashian? She must be devastated about her dad,” one snarky X user wrote, while another said they would be “Praying’ for the Good American founder ‘during this difficult time.”

Despite her reputation for reacting to negative comments, Khloe has not responded to Simpson’s death or the jokes.

Simpson’s arrest on suspicion of murdering his ex-wife and her friend happened when Khloé was only nine years old. The Kardashians were depicted in the 2016 bio-series about O.J. Simpson that aired on FX.

After Simpson’s death, the 39-year-old’s name immediately began trending. Kardashian was bombarded with messages under her latest Instagram and on X from trolls writing that they are ‘sorry for’ her loss. The jokes about Khloe’s paternity started circulating when the Kardashian reality show premiered in 2007.

Khloé once referred to Simpson as ‘Uncle OJ’ and Brown as ‘Auntie Nicole’ during a 2009 E! True Hollywood Story.

Khloe’s family has previously joked about the conspiracy, with Kim even bringing it up during her opening monologue as an SNL host in October 2021.
