Prepare for chills as Kid Cudi unveils the long-awaited release date for the climactic conclusion of his sensational horror film saga, X, coming soon to theater near you.
Taking to Instagram, on Monday (April 8) the actor/rapper shared the trailer for MaXXXine, the followup to Ti West’s 2022 film, X; preceded by the acclaimed Pearl.
The plot unfolds in the late ’70s, where a group of young filmmakers ventures to rural Texas to shoot an adult film. Upon arrival, their elderly hosts catch them, and the cast find themselves fighting for their lives.
Mia Goth, who fought for survival in the initial feature, reprises her role as the lone survivor from the first installment.
“MAXXXINE DIRECTED AND WRITTEN BY TI WEST STARRING MIA GOTH JULY 5TH 😎 @a24@madsolar,” he captioned the trailer.
He added: “Yall not ready at ALL!!!”
Based on the trailer, it remains uncertain whether Cudi will assume a role as significant as X’s Jackson Hole. Nevertheless, fans are eagerly anticipating his involvement!

A third user highlighted the production company, hailing it as a significant triumph for Cudder, writing: “MAD SOLAR producing it, that’s fire congrats!”
Rounding out the stellar ensemble includes Giancarlo Esposito, Michelle Monaghan, Elizabeth Debicki, Kevin Bacon, Lily Collins, Bobby Cannavale, and the multi-talented Halsey.
The announcement arrives hot on the heels of Kid Cudi’s news that he’s been fully immersed in writing a fresh TV comedy series. In this unnamed project, he’ll take on multiple characters, akin to Eddie Murphy’s iconic roles in Morbit franchise.
Taking to X/Twitter he wrote, “Been writin the 1st season of this secret show im workin on. Really cant wait for yall to see this. Ive been lookin to do a series for a long time, a role that taps into all my strengths, especially the comedy. This shit is mad funny and has a ton of heart. U will love this.
