Kodak Black and YoungBoy Never Broke Again are back on shaky ground after what seemed like a short-lived peace between the two. Over the weekend, Kodak stirred the pot by calling YoungBoy’s new music “trash,” reigniting tension between the rappers.

YoungBoy, who originally planned to release his full Make America Slime Again album on July 4th, opted to drop just six tracks as a preview. The full release has since been pushed to July 25th. But the early taste wasn’t enough to impress Kodak, who didn’t hold back in a social media post. “I just heard little bro’s album — it’s straight trash. I don’t even like that,” he said. “And I like YoungBoy music, but that s—t a— though.”

Kodak also hinted that there’s more going on than fans know, citing off-camera drama that may have influenced his reaction. He speculated that the project might even be a subtle attempt to provoke him. “I feel like he dropping that just to get my attention,” he said.

The two artists have a long, complicated history. Their relationship has swung from public beefs to unexpected camaraderie. Just last year, they were seen bonding over their mutual love for gumbo, suggesting their feud had cooled off. But their past includes its fair share of drama—like YoungBoy dating Kodak’s former girlfriend and releasing a diss track aimed at him.

While YoungBoy continues building hype for his 30-track project, with ten songs already live, Kodak has yet to release a solo album this year. However, he did make a splash in May by teaming up with ex-NFL star Antonio Brown on the track “I LUV ALL THE OPPS.”

Now, all eyes are on what happens next between these two. Will this latest jab escalate—or blow over like it has before?
