Born Bill K. Kapri, Kodak Black grew up in Pompano’s Golden Acres neighborhood and has remained an active figure in the city despite his national stardom. City leaders praised the Grammy-nominated artist for consistently supporting families in need through personal donations and community programs.
Over the years, Kodak has organized annual holiday giveaways, distributing turkeys for Thanksgiving and bikes and toys for children each Christmas.
