Kylie Jenner speaks out following the fatal tragedies that took place at Travis Scott’s Atrowrold Festival.

According to CNN, there are at least eight people confirmed dead, and many others injured after Astroworld Friday night.

It all went down at about 10PM EST last night as the festival was held at NRG Park. Fire Chief Samuel Pena addressed details of the incident during the press conference following the tragic event where he said the crowd rushed the stage and people began to pass out because they could not breathe. Because of the location and the amount of victims emergency services were overwhelmed at the time he said.“The crowd for whatever reason began to push and surge towards the front of the stage, which caused the people in the front to be compressed,” he said to CNN. “They were unable to escape that situation.”

Kylie says she and Travis was not aware of the fatalities and are devastated.

“Travis and I are broken and devastated. My thoughts and prayers are with all who lost their lives, were injured or affected in any way by yesterday’s events. And also for Travis who I know cares deeply for his fans and the Houston community, I want to make it clear we weren’t aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show, and in no world would have continued filming or performing. I am sending my deepest condolences to all the families during this difficult time and will be praying for the healing of everyone who has been impacted,” Kylie’s statement read.
