March 31, 2024, hip hop will mark five years since Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed in his hometown of Los Angeles, California, in 2019.

On Sunday morning (March 31), Lauren London, mother of his son Kross, paid tribute to the late entertainer on Instagram.

The You People star, 39, posted a picture of Nipsey along with a caption. She wrote, “If you know me, you know March is always tough for me. 31 days of holding my breath. This day decided to fall on Easter Sunday this 2024, interesting… Considering your name #GodWillRise. Energy never dies… I love you. Eternal. [blue heart emoji] [checkered flag emoji].”

London’s post would be showered with love by family, friends, fans, and celebrities. Actress La La Anthony wrote, “Sending you love always [blue heart emoji],” while Nia Long comments, “Sending you love [white heart emoji].”

Reginae Carter, Lil Wayne’s daughter, commented, “I love you [blue heart emoji] [prayer hand emoji].”

London also shared a series of photos and videos of Nipsey on her Instagram Story.

At 33, Nipsey Hussle was fatally shot outside his Marathon Clothing store in South Central Los Angeles on March 31, 2019. His homegoing was held inside the Crypto Arena. In July 2022, three years after his death, Eric Holder Jr. was found guilty of first-degree murder.

A Los Angeles judge approved $5 million payments to Hussle’s children by his estate on March 20, following a halt by a lawsuit filed by singer Tasleem Yasin over unpaid royalties.
