Rapper Lil Nas X was hospitalized early Thursday morning (Aug. 21) after being spotted roaming the streets of Los Angeles in the early hours, sparking concerns about a possible overdose.
According to reports, the 25-year-old star was seen around 4 a.m. wandering near Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, dressed only in white underwear and cowboy boots. Witnesses say he appeared disoriented, at one point placing an orange traffic cone on his head and telling a passerby he was “headed to a party.” Multiple bystanders called authorities after noticing the bizarre behavior.
When LAPD officers arrived, Lil Nas X reportedly charged at them before being subdued and placed in handcuffs. Paramedics on the scene suspected a possible overdose and transported the “Old Town Road” hitmaker to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
As of now, neither Lil Nas X’s representatives nor law enforcement have issued an official statement regarding his condition or potential charges.

This latest incident follows a separate health scare earlier this year. Back in April 2025, Lil Nas X revealed on Instagram that he had been hospitalized with partial facial paralysis, temporarily affecting movement on the right side of his face. At the time, he reassured fans he was recovering and even joked with followers to “dance instead” while he healed.
