Lil Tjay is blessed to be here with us.

During an armed robbery, someone almost took the Bronx rapper’s life.

At a recent concert in New Jersey, at The Wellmont Theater in Montclair, the “Beat The Odds” artist performed and showed the crowd his scars. When Lil Tjay took his shirt off, fans saw the marks that seven bullets left on his torso/chest and arm. He wrote, “BACK IN NEW JERSEY (heart emoji) in the caption. XXL points out that the location he performed at was less than an hour from where the 2022 shooting happened.

Take a look:

Lil TJay spent weeks recovering in the hospital after he was shot on June 22. He was airlifted to Hackensack University Medical Center. According to a report, he was shot in the thoracic cavity, a space surrounded by the rib cage that contains the heart, lungs, esophagus, and more.

At the time of the attack, Lil Tjay was in a car with his associates, Jeffery Valdez and Antoine Boyd, at an Edgewater, NJ, shopping center. They were approached by an armed robber, ex-con Mohamed Konate, 28, who demanded they hand over their jewelry. According to Daily Voice, gunfire was exchanged between Konate and someone in the car. Konate was hit and hopped in an unidentified alleged co-conspirator’s car.

Konate is charged with three counts of attempted murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault, and weapon-related offenses. In July, he requested to be released to receive medical treatment, but a judge denied it, and he remains behind bars.

After Tjay recovered, he broke his silence and said, “Seven shots, it was tough, you know. Most people don’t survive it, but I’m here for a reason. New music is coming soon, we’re going to come back stronger than ever.”
