A clip has resurfaced of Lil Yachty linking up with Dr. Umar and showing him a unique piece of art he owns. Donning African-inspired attire, the rapper unveils a painting of Jesus. The painting works as a secret mirror, revealing a black Jesus beneath the white one.

The clip derives from an interview with Dr. Umar, where he joined the rapper and his co-host on their A Safe Space Podcast a few months back. Throughout the conversation, Umar and the co-hosts discussed the state of black America, interracial relationships, BBLs, and more. Check out the hilarious clip below.

Lil Yachty Plans To Step Outside Rap Once More

On the music front, the 26-year-old has been quite busy this year. In February, he announced that he would be doing a collaborative project with English singer-songwriter, James Blake. The album, Bad Cameo, would be the rapper’s second venture outside of rap music. So far, there has been no official release date set. The Atlanta rapper shared the announcement via Instagram, saying, “…This project is so left for both of us. Then, aside from the one picture that James posted, which he doesn’t have many followers actually, I don’t think people know that we know each other exist.”

In January 2023, he dropped an alternative rock-inspired project called, Let’s Start Here. Yachty told Billboard in a March 2023 interview, that his main goal was to “create a body of work that reflected me.” He continued: “My idea was for this album to be a journey: Press play and fall into a void.” Last month, Lil Yachty launched his record label with Quality Control Music/HYBE and introduced a new group, the Concrete Boys, consisting of Lil Yachty, Karrahbooo, and Camo! Around the same time, the collective released their first single “Family Business.” The group also dropped off their first compilation album, It’s Us Volume 1. Yatchy and his crew are currently on tour, hitting big European cities like London, Glasgow, Milan, Oslo, and more.
