Livie Rose Henderson, a New York DoorDash driver who accused a customer of sexual assault, is now facing felony charges after investigators determined her allegations were unsupported by evidence, according to law enforcement and company officials.
The 23-year-old posted a TikTok video on Oct. 12 claiming she had been sexually assaulted during a food delivery. She asserted that her DoorDash account was deactivated two days after she reported the incident and said police appeared dismissive of her complaint.
Henderson alleged she entered a customer’s home and found him asleep on his couch with his pants down. This made her to record and upload blurred footage that rapidly spread online.
However, the investigation shifted after detectives reviewed Ring camera video from the customer’s doorway. Authorities said the footage contradicted Henderson’s account and confirmed the customer never invited her inside.

Investigators realized that the man was unaware of her presence and had not exposed himself. The conclusion raised concerns about the validity of her claims and the circumstances of her entry into the residence.
Henderson was arrested on Nov. 10 and charged with two Class E felonies: second-degree unlawful surveillance and first-degree dissemination of an unlawful surveillance image. Police allege she entered the home without permission and recorded the man while he was incapacitated.
DoorDash confirmed it deactivated Henderson’s account for violating the platform’s safety protocols and also banned the customer involved. Law enforcement stated the customer will not face criminal charges, citing a lack of evidence supporting intentional misconduct.
Each felony charge carries a potential four-year prison sentence. Henderson’s arrest concludes a month-long inquiry that drew national scrutiny due to the viral nature of her allegations. The case highlights mounting legal and policy challenges for gig-economy platforms as they navigate disputes involving contractors, customer safety, and public accusations made on social media.
Authorities emphasized the role digital evidence played in the investigation, noting the contrast between Henderson’s public claims and the corroborated footage.
