Saturday’s “Lovers & Friends” festival in Las Vegas, drawing music lovers from across the globe, has been canceled.

“Saturday’s Lovers & Friends Festival at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds has been canceled,” read a message shared on social media, attributing the last-minute decision to severe weather conditions.

“Lovers & Friends Festival organizers have been monitoring the weather for several days and proactively preparing for a windy Saturday.  However, the National Weather Service has now issued a High Wind Warning, including dangerous 30-35 mph sustained winds with gusts potentially more than 60 mph.  Following advice from the National Weather Service and in consultation with local public officials, we must make the safest decision for our fans, artists, and staff, and cancel tomorrow’s Lovers & Friends Festival.”

Event organizers emphasized that the decision to cancel was not taken lightly. “This was an incredibly heartbreaking decision to make as we are aware that fans have traveled from all over the world to enjoy this incredible lineup of superstars and have been looking forward to this event for several months.  We’ve worked hard to create an amazing event for you, and we are just as disappointed as you are.”

Upon learning of the announcement, fans flooded the comment section to air their grievances.

“This is a fucking joke right? 10pm the night before when u had just posted 6 hours ago confirming the festival is still on? Reschedule for Sunday, move it indoors, idc. Make it work. No one will attend L&F again,” wrote one user.

“All I know is by tomorrow, Dorothy’s whole house betta be flying by with Toto too, cause this is some nonsense 😒,” another commented.

A third user suggested an alternative gathering, stating: “Fuck that! Everyone that came out for the concert let’s meet at the parking lot tomorrow with a speaker and have a great time.”

The lineup was set to feature an array of early 2000s artists, including Snoop Dogg, Janet Jackson, Ja Rule, Ashanti, Mary J. Blige, Gwen Stefani, Monica, Brandy, Nas, M.I.A., Ciara, Ludacris, and many others.

Fortunately, for concertgoers who purchased their tickets directly through Front Gate Tickets, Lovers & Friends announced that they will receive a refund within 30 days to the original form of payment.
