Marlon Wayans thinks it’s “time” for a White Chicks sequel.
During a recent interview on the red carpet for the NAACP Images Awards, Wayans addressed his most anticipated question. “[Fans always ask], ‘When are you doing the sequel?’ They love that movie,” Wayans said in a now viral clip. “Hey, you know, I think it’s time. Let’s get ‘Scary Movie 6’ done, and then we’ll go and bring out ‘White Chicks 2.’”
This isn’t the first time the comedian has hinted at a potential sequel to the hit movie. In a past interview, Wayans shared, “I realized that the world has slowed down, comedy has slowed down, and the world needs our point of view to be injected back in so we can learn to party, learn to live, learn to laugh again at inappropriate things,” he explained.
Aside from White Chicks– fans can also look forward to a Scary Movie 6, according to Marlon.
According to reports, the franchise movie is set to hit theaters on June 12, 2026.
The movie was originally released in 2000 and starred Marlon and Shawn Wayans, who also co-wrote the film, with their older brother Keenen serving as the director. It earned $42.5 million at the box office, making it the highest-grossing opening for a Black director and the top-grossing R-rated horror film at the time.
