Mary J. Blige is NOT here to play!

The singer went viral on social media after her recent performance at the Roots Picnic in Philly last weekend. The queen of Hip Hop soul delivered an incredible show, serving fans a sexy look in a short black leather jumpsuit. Take a look:

Aside from her fashionable outfit, fans were so happy to see Mary. One online user said, “Mary J. Blige performing at the Roots Picnic with Black Thought freestyling over What’s The 411 was a special moment. They are killing this sh*t.” Another person wrote, “Mary J Blige being backed by the Roots just makes sense.”

The legendary Roots crew headlined, hosted, and curated the show, which returned for the first time since 2019. Other artists on the lineup included Summer Walker, G Herbo, Muni Long, Wizkid, Rick Ross, Jazmine Sullivan, plus more

The festival was on a two-year hiatus due to COVID. Shawn Gee, President of Live Nation Urban, The Roots manager, and co-founder of the event, said,

“This year, Black Thought, Questlove, and I attempted to curate a lineup that broke through the genre barriers that often separate us in black culture. To be able to book Mickey Guyton, Kirk Franklin, G Herbo, Wizkid, Wallo & Gillie, and Mary J Blige on the same lineup was a dream come true.”

Mary is having an incredible 2022. She headlined a historic all-hip hop lineup for the Super Bowl. Last month, TIME named Mary one of the world’s most influential people. Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small Sr., recently presented the “Real Love” singer with a key to the city.

Last month, Atlanta gave Mary a day after headlining the Strength of a Woman festival and summit during Mother’s Day weekend. Also, in May, Mary accepted the ICON Award at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. She’s one of only 11 other artists to receive the honor, joining the elite class of honorees like Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Prince, Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, and others.
