Meek Mill has once again become the target of public criticism, this time for hinting at a project involving artificial intelligence. The rapper has already been navigating a tough stretch in his career, with much of the negativity surrounding him connected to his relationship with Diddy and the accusations brought up in Lil Rod’s lawsuit. While many on social media have run with the speculation, Meek has denied any involvement and says he refuses to let the chatter distract him.
“I got a 14 year old son. I will never let fake rumors about my name or manhood linger and be silent… My son had to see all that sh*t and deal with it going to school! It’s a silent war against black men and yall rocking wit em!” he said. In a follow-up, he wrote, “Ima real life KING…… I think they found out… I can brighten whole communities just by stopping by… slow down street wars off words no threats… influence billions to help be the system…. make a 100m from 0… This why I was playing dumb somebody caught on lol.”
Until now, Meek has largely kept quiet, but his recent post on X stirred the pot. He posted saying he was working on an AI tool that “can change the world,” adding a “lol” at the end. Whether he was serious or joking remains unclear, but the statement was enough to spark another round of commentary.
Online critics were quick to react, with some mocking Meek Mill’s silence since the Diddy-related allegations and expressing skepticism about his AI project. The conversation highlights the divided opinions on AI in hip-hop. While artists like Freddie Gibbs have criticized its growing role in music, others such as Gunna, Timbaland, BabyChiefDoIt, and Kanye West are embracing the technology and exploring its potential.
