Meek Mill Responds To Kobe Bryant Lyric Backlash

Meek Mill had a few things to say following a lot of backlash for a Kobe Bryant lyric he rapped in a new song.

Last night, a clip of a Lil Baby and Meek Mill collab surfaced online and sent fans in a frenzy. The track is reportedly titled “Kobe Bryant,” paying homage to the late NBA star.

The clip was only brief yet the internet was upset due to a lyric reportedly said by Meek. “And if I ever lack I’m going out with my choppa it be another Kobe / Sh*t I can tell they ain’t never know me,” rapped Meek. Moments later, Lil Baby says, “I damn near wanna have a son so I can name him Kobe.”

He reacted on Twitter, he writes, “somebody promo a narrative and y’all follow it…. y’all internet antics cannot stop me  ….sh*t like zombie land or something! Lol.” He continued, adding, “They paying to influence y’all now … its almost like mind control ‘wake up’.”
