Metro Boomin wants next in the wrestling this time behind the boards. The chart-topping producer made it clear on X this week that producing music for WWE superstars isn’t just a casual interest. “Would love to produce some WWE entrance themes. It’s a lifelong goal of mine 👀,” he posted on May 28th.
It wouldn’t be the first time hip-hop linked up with WWE. Over the years, names like Three 6 Mafia, Lil’ Kim, and Naughty by Nature have all brought their sound to the squared circle. Metro, a longtime wrestling fan himself, even made an appearance at WWE’s Bad Blood last year. Now, he’s ready to leave a lasting mark through theme music, something he clearly sees as a personal milestone.
While Metro’s ambitions simmer, his close collaborator Travis Scott has already made WWE headlines. Scott’s wild cameo during the WrestleMania 41 main event saw him help John Cena clinch a record-breaking 17th world championship by distracting Cody Rhodes long enough for Cena to strike. Rhodes wasn’t having it, and dropped Scott with his Cross Rhodes finisher in retaliation.
Still, Scott had fun with the moment. “I DONT WANT A RECEIPT I WANT BLOOOODDD AFTER JACKBOYS 2 I NEEEEEDDD THAT,” he wrote on Instagram after the match.
Cody Rhodes, though, hasn’t forgotten their earlier WWE encounter at Elimination Chamber, when Scott landed a brutal shot that left him with a black eye and a ruptured eardrum. “That’s wrestling. Beat me up, I’m gonna beat you up… maybe there’s a receipt for Travis,” he told Complex. “Prior to this, though, by the way, I was a Travis Scott fan! I bought those sneakers.”
There’s even buzz around a possible tag match involving Scott, Cena, and Logan Paul later this year.
