Metro Boomin addressed the public after a jury decided he was not responsible in the civil sexual assault lawsuit brought against him. In his remarks, the producer said faith carried him through the ordeal and stressed how damaging the accusations had been to his career, reputation, and family life.
“I’m grateful and thankful to God that I can finally put all of this nonsense behind me,” he said. Metro explained that the allegations shook him because of the way he has always carried himself. “Never in a million years would I have thought I could be accused of such a disgusting and heinous act.”
He went on to describe the financial and emotional toll of the case, saying resources were wasted and opportunities lost because of what he considered greed on the part of the plaintiff. To him, the impact went far beyond money. He shared that his younger siblings, whom he legally adopted, suffered throughout the process. Metro emphasized that he has been an active figure in their lives and schools, and he asked people to imagine how the claims affected children who look up to him.
The producer also criticized the opposing lawyers, calling them “janky lawyers” for pursuing a case that he said never had merit. He made clear his disappointment that they moved forward with what he considered baseless claims. Still, he expressed gratitude to his own legal team—Lawrence Hinkle, Justin H. Sanders, and Bobby D. Daniels—for guiding him through the trial.
His attorney, Lawrence C. Hinkle II of Sanders Roberts LLP, echoed that point in comments to TMZ Hip Hop, saying, “The allegations against Mr. Wayne were frivolous and unequivocally false… the plaintiff’s claims against him are completely fabricated.”
Metro concluded his statement by sending peace and love to survivors of real crimes and to those wrongly accused, vowing to move forward.
