Actress and singer-songwriter Alix Lapri, best known for her portrayal of Effie Morales in Power and its spinoff Power Book II: Ghost, has reportedly been arrested in DeKalb County, Georgia.
According reports, Lapri—real name Alexus Lapri Geier—was booked into the DeKalb County Jail on August 18, 2025, on charges of third‑degree cruelty to children and disorderly conduct, before being released the following day, August 19.
Georgia law defines third‑degree cruelty to children not necessarily as direct physical harm, but as committing or allowing a child under 18 to witness a forcible felony, battery, or family violence battery.
