Love is in the air.
Nelly and Ashanti are both pulling on the heartstrings of social media users all over. We previously reported that Nelly confirmed that they were back together in an interview with Love and Hip Hop stars Rasheeda and Kirk Frost.
When Rasheeda asked if the relationship was back, Nelly responds, “yeah, we cool again,” he said in a clip. “I think it surprised both of us, though. It wasn’t anything that …[was] planned. I think we’re both pretty much doing what we do.”
He continued, “Sometimes being separate you understand one another more,” he said. “You could be like, ‘Yo, let me see exactly what they see.’ You know, because we all can be defensive sometimes in our own relationships. And we know we wrong but we going to stand on it. But we all a victim to that.”
“Yeah,” he said. “I mean, because it’s no pressure. Before I felt like both of us are doing what we’re doing career-wise and when you got so many people in the middle of it, it could be tough.”
We previously reported that Nelly got emotional after Ashanti blessed him for his birthday. Celebrating his 49th birthday, Ashanti gifted Nelly with what looks like a Chevrolet Impala at his “G.I. Moe” Halloween themed birthday party. Nelly was surrounded by his friends, family and his baby, Ashanti. Everyone dressed in army fatigue inspired looks.
In one of the viral clips, you can hear Nelly thanking Ashanti for “one of the best gifts he’s ever received aside from [his] children.” She presented Nelly the car as his song “Ride Wit Me” played in the background.
Now fans are urging Nelly to seal the deal and give Ashanti a ring and a baby. A fan jumped in the comments under a recent post of the two and told Nelly to “get her pregnant.” Nelly simply responded by saying “I’m on it.”
