After years of anticipation we might be one step closer to hearing two of hip hop’s most talked about projects.
Martin Shkreli, the man who made himself famous for increasing the price of an HIV drug and trolling the hip hop universe won the auction of the single copy of Wu-Tang Clan’s album Once Upon A Time In Shaolin back in 2014 for $2 million. He also allegedly possesses Lil’ Wayne’s often delayed Tha Carter V album.
He was found guilty of fraud and now must forfeit $7.36 million of money and assets to the government.
It is likely that those assets will then be auctioned to the highest bidder. That means 2018 could be the year the world gets to hear two albums that have almost become mythical in the past four-plus years.
