Will Smith has been in the game for over 30 years and his resume speaks for itself.
Now he wants to add stand-up comedy to the list!
During his new Facebook show, Will Smith’s Bucket List, the Philly native decided to get out his comfort zone and try performing stand-up. He opened up for the iconic Dave Chappelle.
Before Smith went on stage, Chappelle gave him a few tips to use in order to get through his set and how to win the crowd. Chappelle said, “the first thing I’ll tell you is confidence is key. The reason you should be confident is primarily because you’re Will Smith... I’ve been watching you for years; you’re actually a funny dude. I’ve spoken to you before, you’re a great conversationalist.” He then told Smith to pick topics that the people can relate to.
The last piece of advice Chappelle gave Smith was that you don't have to be funny all the time, just interesting.
