Offset is pushing for joint legal custody of his three children with Cardi B as their divorce continues to unfold in court. According to TMZ Hip Hop, the former Migo recently filed new documents requesting that the Bronx rapper’s home serve as their children’s primary residence. He also asked the court to establish spousal payments through child support agreements, divide their marital assets equally, and have each party cover their own legal fees.
Cardi B initially filed for divorce last August and reportedly sought primary custody. While their breakup has played out in court, it has also spilled onto social media. Both have taken jabs at each other, from Cardi’s Twitter rants to Offset’s public outings with other women.
Despite their rocky split, both seem to be focusing on other things. Offset recently dropped $500,000 on a Ferrari, while Cardi has been linked to NFL star Stefon Diggs. However, dating rumors often get blown out of proportion, so it wouldn’t be surprising if all parties downplay the speculation.
Their relationship has been a rollercoaster from the start. They began dating in 2017, tied the knot, and welcomed their first child, Kulture, in 2018. Over the years, they faced multiple breakups, cheating allegations, and even a divorce filing in 2020 that Cardi later retracted. Despite their efforts, they ultimately couldn’t make it work.
Now, with their divorce playing out both in court and online, it remains to be seen how things will be settled. While their public drama continues, hopefully, the legal process will bring a more peaceful resolution.
